The Daily Diary Of AN ABSOLUTE Loser

Every occasionally I’ll get a specific demand. Okay, Janie. Of all First, many thanks for reading my blog and secondly, is bathroom selfies a plain thing? I mean, yeah–I know people post a bunch of them, I simply didn’t know it was such a favorite thing or its own style/category of selfie.

I snapped a couple after washing my hands completely this afternoon. Today Here you go–and thank you for the smile! I feel silly, really. I picture my daughters thinking– oh boy, there’s dad doing his best to look cool, again! I am so NOT cool the majority of the time.

This is me performing cool. I had developed a really good day. It was long, but productive. And productive feels good when successful means super busy even. Today I took the time to prepare the right food. I’m especially proud of the beef alfredo pizza for lunch. That was a delicious couple of pizza for 550 calories from fat!

We had a great conversation today in the exclusive private support group I co-facilitate with Life Coach Gerri Helms, about eating what we should enjoy along the true way and how that helps. I’ve always maintained the mantra “I eat what I really like and nothing I don’t,” through my initial weight loss and today. I’ve uncovered how much I really like all kinds of foods– all without the added ingredient that creates the addictive part of my brain. I enjoy my food hugely. The right time I take in preparation is honoring my commitment in taking amazing treatment.

This was one of the strong factors in my book– If we force ourselves to eat things we wouldn’t normally, or just plain can’t stand, as a means to lose weight, then we’re not happy. It really is a chore at that point. And further, it creates a temporary diversion from who we are–until whatever goal we set is achieved– then we relent and return in full force to what we love to eat. I possibly could have lost weight eating salads and hated every bite along the true way.

Of course, the other aspect of the food relationship formula is the emotional/stress eating powerful. This side isn’t necessarily triggered by “the medication.” Which is entirely possible to eat too much into a food coma without violating my “no refined glucose” personal rule. Answer: Good support. I think we can all agree that food isn’t a fixer of the difficult and emotional situations we encounter.

Good support makes a significant difference. Good accountability methods can inspire us to make it through to be able to keep the integrity of our stated goals. Good support is invited into our mind where the thoughts and feelings live, where we can get another opinion–another’s perspective, in order to really identify what’s happening and figure out better, more successful alternatives.
